The area around Sanquhar is a burst of amazing colour at this time of year. Coupled with some unseasonally warm weather, an afternoon stroll around the top and bottom ponds offered a lovely, relaxing and picturesque few hours.
The beautiful autumn colours make an ideal time to get out and about with the camera. I often like to use a very shallow depth of field when doing landscapes. I think it adds dimension and depth to the image. These photos were taken on a stroll around Forres.
