Location: Cullen (Cullen Community & Residential Centre)

Duration: 9:30am – 4:30pm (Saturday), 10:00am – 2:00pm (Sunday)

Overview

A packed, weekend workshop guiding you through a full coastal photography session from start to finish.

Topics over the two days include:

• The Principles of Photography
• Composing the Shot
• Reading the Light
• Creating Atmosphere and Mood
• Using ND and GND Filters
• Processing the Photograph

Saturday

The workshop starts indoors at the Cullen Community & Residential Centre, where you will explore key, theoretical components of photography and how to apply the principles to your coastal shots.

Then it is outside for the practical work, where you will gain tips and tricks to support the theoretical learning.

Sunday

Sunday will be indoors, back at the Cullen Community & Residential Centre, where you will be supported to process the photographs.

Eligibility

• All ages welcome
• Camera with manual control over Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO and ability to shoot in RAW
• Tripod (not essential but highly recommended)
• Laptop with RAW processing software (please contact to discuss your software)
• ND Filters (not essential but highly recommended)

Considerations

• Please bring your own lunch and snacks
• There will be rocky and uneven ground therefore not suitable for those with mobility and balance issue
• Please ensure that you have adequate battery life

Accommodation

For anyone who wishing to stay overnight, the Cullen Community and Residential Centre can offer accommodation at the very reasonable rate of £16 for the night
