Overview
Aided by skilled dancer Zoe, this workshop offers a great opportunity to gain insight and practice into capturing dynamic and eye-catching photographs using off-camera flash.
The day blends theoretical and practical sessions, with the aim of promoting confidence and competence in using flash to capture creative movement photographs.
You will have two practical sessions to work with Zoe, exploring different styles of photograph, from beautiful ballet style poses to dramatic, flowing movement shots.
Eligibility
- Camera which has Manual mode (i.e. Full user control of Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO)
- Hot-shoe on camera
- Rear-curtain sync option for flash
- Own flash (although not essential, this is highly recommended as the workshop can familiarise you with the equipment you own and use)
- Wireless flash triggers (not essential, but again it would be useful for learning purposes)
Meal/Snacks
To maintain the safest environment under the current COVID situation, please bring your own lunch. Teas/Coffees will be provided

About the Dancer
Zoe is a passionate and accomplished dance and gymnastics teacher at StageStars, a Performing Arts School, in Keith. She joined StageStars when 9 years old and is looking forward to helping them to celebrate their 20th Anniversary this year. Zoe has a particular interest in street dance styles.
About the Tutor
Gary came from a lengthy career, working in mental health nursing, management and training before establishing the photography business in 2011. He offers a wide range of commercial and individual photography services and photography training options.
