Overview

The day blends theory and practical sessions, aimed towards increasing your knowledge and skill in using flash to enhance and stylise your portraits.

Starting at the atmospheric Slains Castle and using other dynamic and dramatic backdrop locations the workshop introduces you to various lighting methods and light-shaping modifiers, helping to produce beautiful and eye-catching photographs.

You will have ample opportunity to work with a model on this fully outdoor workshop.

Whether a beginner, or advanced photographer, the workshop has lots to offer.

• Posing the model
• Blending flash and ambient light
• Useful lighting set-ups
• Light modifiers
• Planning, implementing and evaluating the photo shoot

• Age 16+
• Transport to locations
• Camera (DSLR, Mirrorless, Bridge)
• Lens/es
• Flash
• Flash trigger (ideally capable of ‘high speed sync’)
• Skill level: beginner to expert

• Tripod or monopod
