Overview
An extension to the Street Photography workshop, this workshop aims to further develop your creative compositional skills.
Street art is one of the most dynamic and expressive forms of visual culture, transforming everyday urban spaces into powerful canvases of creativity, protest, and identity. This workshop invites you to step into that world—not just as an observer, but as a storyteller with your camera.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer, you’ll learn how to capture the raw energy, texture, and beauty of the city environment. We’ll explore techniques for composition, lighting, and timing, supporting creative development.

- Battery power to last the workshop
- Aged 16+
- Ability to mobilise approx. 4 – 6 miles (spread out over the workshop, with regular stops)
- Please bring along a snack and drink (shops/cafes available on route if preferable)

ABOUT THE TUTOR
Gary is a commercial photographer and photography educator based in Forres. The photography business has been operating since 2011, utilisng Gary’s 20+ years experience in developing, delivering and evaluating professional training packages for all ages. Gary’s career began in the care sector, commencing as a First Level Mental Health Nurse, and progressing towards Management, then Training Management. He gained many useful skills during this career, transferring them into his photography and education business.
